Mahesh Patel MD, Physician Rep on the NCCRA Board delivers a presentation at ACSM’s National Conference

Dr. Patel, our physician presented at the ACSM National Conference this week in Orlando, Florida. His topic was “The Development of a Registry for Cardiorespiratory Fitness in the US”.

The American Heart Association recently issued a policy statement recognizing the importance of Cardiorespiratory Fitness (CRF) and called for the development of a National Registry. The CRF Registry was established in 2013. Dr. Patel’s session reviewed the scientific evidence and clinical importance of CRF and provided an explanation of the processes of development of this data registry. An overview of the initial data collected by the CRF Registry was provided and highlighted the potential uses of these data for both scientific and clinical practice.

Great job – Dr. Patel!!!
